Organizations
MailShield uses organizations to group domains and team members together. Each user belongs to one or more organizations.
Understanding Organizations
An organization in MailShield represents:
- A company or team monitoring email security
- A collection of domains being monitored
- A group of users with access to those domains

- Cannot be removed (ownership must be transferred)

Leaving an Organization
To leave an organization you're a member of:
- Go to Settings → Team
- Click Leave Organization
- Confirm your decision
WARNING
Owners cannot leave their organization. Transfer ownership first or delete the organization.
Deleting an Organization
Only owners can delete an organization:
- Go to Settings → Team
- Scroll to Danger Zone
- Click Delete Organization
- Type the organization name to confirm
DANGER
Deleting an organization removes all domains, reports, and member access permanently. This cannot be undone.
Subscription and Billing
Each organization has its own subscription:
- Domain limits apply per organization
- Billing is managed by the owner
- Access Settings → Billing to manage your plan
Best Practices
- Use descriptive names for organizations to distinguish clients or projects
- Assign appropriate roles - not everyone needs admin access
- Review members regularly - remove people who no longer need access
- Configure notifications per member based on their responsibilities
